Bunge la Wananchi has told off the Nairobi Members of Parliament who criticised the leadership style and performance of Governor Mike Sonko.
Addressing the media Bunge la wananchi chairman John Mark Ababu took issue with MPs on matters National Constituency Development Funds administration saying they have little to show.
He accused the MPs of trying to blackmail the governor instead of engaging him in a direct and transparent dialogue.
‘’Senator Sakaja and our MPs must stop taking comedy to parliament and as Bunge La wanachi we shall be activating our grassroots network to audit the performance of these Members of Parliament who have nothing to show so far.’’ Ababu said.
According to Ababu Sonko through the beatification project has employed about 50% youths can now put food on the table.
Yesterday City MPs led by senator John Sakaja,Nixon Korir of Lang’ata,Antony Oluoch of Mathare, George Aladwa of Makadara , John Kairie of Dagoreti South and Timothy Wanyonyi of Westlands questioned Sonko’s style of leadership accusing the governor of running the city with one-man-show syndrome.
Aladwa revealed that in the last two years they have never met the governor in any formal meeting to discuss county developments.
