A young man caused a stir outside parliament buildings after he was barred from viewing Retired President Mwai Kibaki’s body.
The man who is from Bungoma County in Western part of Kenya claimed that he was Kibaki’s grandson.
Upon being denied entry into parliament, he undressed himself and started wailing.
“He is my grandfather, he gave me free education. Please give me a chance to see him, give me a chance to see the body. I need to see him, I need to see him please,” he wailed.
Police officers however managed to whisk him out of parliament premises.
Kibaki’s body has been lying in state at parliament building since yesterday for public viewing.
He will be buried at his Othaya Home on Saturday. Meanwhile plans and arrangements for his state burial are currently underway.
