Pangani business communities are decrying the inhumane implementation of  ‘close by 10.00pm’ order issued by the Assistant County Commissioner.

The petitioners led by Ezekiah Muthomi claim on 1st April they were summoned to attend  a meeting convened by the administrator who l informed them that he had been instructed to implement a curfew order by undisclosed government official.

“We were called by the area ACC and instructed to close our business by the 10.pm we realized  that the orders we issued to specific communities while others were spared to freely sell.” Said Ezekiah

They added that since orders were issued by the administrator, the police paroling in Toyota probox has been traversing the entire estate with police in plain clothes on board who extort money and harass them.

They accused the police in plain clothes of clobbering members of the public who fails to comply with their tough demands, looting and destroying temporary structures in full public glare.

They further stated police who fire gun shots in the air put their lives at risk.

In the court document seen by Ghetto Radio, the petitioners attached undated photos of spent cartridges and medical examination reports of victims of brutality.

According to the resident, the action by the police depicts tribal marginalization as some of the dominants business communities does not want fair competitions.
