Canada has dismissed Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua’s Canada job deals as fake.
Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Ministry (IRCC) said on Tuesday, May 16 that the information making rounds on social media was false.
“Disinformation is circulating which suggests that special programs are welcoming Lenyan immigrants. This is false, and the immigration programs referenced to not exist,” the Embassy said.
They further shared a link to get accurate information on how to immigrate to and visit Canada.
A recent post by Alfred Mutua who is the Cabinet Secretary of foreign and Diaspora affairs read;
“During my official visit to Canada , I have also held a discussion with Sean Fraser Minister of immigration , refugee and citizenship of Canada and agreed on the various migration opportunity pathways for Kenyans to go and live and work in Canada. I was pleased to note that there are job opportunities within various economic sectors across Canada and Kenyans can travel to Canada as students , tourists and as workers.”

He went ahead to assure Kenyans that they will be providing a comprehensive statements in the coming days with guidance and links agreed upon between the Kenyan and the Canadian Government so that Kenyans can apply for migration or Jon visas .
The Cs however urged Kenyans to be careful and wary of agencies that say they are recruiting for Canadian firms.
He confirmed that they are aware that Kenyans have been conned by some agencies and urged them to be more careful to avoid being swindled.
He added that he will be providing a list of Canadian Government approved Consultants.
