Candidate who sought Ghetto Radio’s help for school fee scored B Minus
Kasarani matatu conductor Josephine Nyokabi is thankful to Ghetto Radio team and Kenyans at large for helping her settle her daughter’s school fees.
Nyokabi says that her daughter Claire Nyambura who was schooling at Mirithu Girls Secondary School performed well and scored a B Minus in the 2020 KCSE exams.
The mother came to Ghetto Radio last year and asked for help in raising her daughter’s school fees who was in form four and was at the verge of quitting school.
Josephine had intended to sell her Kidney in order to pay for her daughter’s fees but a well-wisher came and helped her out.
“Nilikuja hapa sometimes back last year, nilikuwa desparate, I was crying. My daughter alikuwa amefukuzwa shule form four na sikukuwa na namna ya kumrudisha shule.It was so sad. I came here I was given a platform and I thank Ghetto Radio na Kenyans who listened to me. You prayed with us and my family,” said Nyokabi.
The mother said that after her story was run on air, she immediately got a well-wisher who paid her daughters fee in full.
“By the grace of God tulipata well-wisher almost immediately na mtoto akarudi shule after the Corona period my daughter alirudi shule na akasettle down and I am glad she did not let us down, she got a B- na she willing to go ahead with her studies,” she added.
She has encouraged people to be free and talk to Ghetto Radio team and they will be assisted to get help.
She has also thanked the well-wisher who helped her pay the school fees although the two of them have never met.
“I want to thank this well-wisher man very much. He is guy we are never in contact with, he did his part and left. Manzee you were God sent and thanks Mungu akubless to sana,” says Nyokabi.
Her daughter Claire Nyambura has also thanked the Ghetto Radio team for standing with her until she finished her school.
“Narudisha shukurani sana to the Ghetto Radio Family, my story was aired in Ghetto radio and I was able to get complete help. I am really grateful to the one who helped because since then we have never met so I still thank God because you came Through na may God bless you and all your ways,” Said Nyambura.
The family is also requesting for more help since Claire wants to do a medical course and would like assistance with school fees.
