Kenyan actress Caroline Muthoni, popularly known as Carrol Sonie has revealed that she underwent therapy sessions for three months.
This is after the actress quitted all the social media platforms including shooting YouTube for close to two years.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Sonnie confirmed that her sessions were paid by comedian Nasra Yusuf.
Sonie went ahead and said that she is now stronger and knows how to handle online bullies.
“I went through therapy because I was loosing it. It made me understand and know why I was going through what I went through. Actually Nasra Yusuf was the one who helped me because I was going crazy. Eveytime I could wake up and I was trending for one reason or another and it was affecting me mentally and I did not know who to talk to, she paid therapy for me, I went for the sessions for three months. My depression came from online bullying and the humiliation I went through and it messed up with my mental health. I know how to handle things better, I did not know how to handle it before. I take everything positive because at the end of the day whatever your opinion about me is does not matter,” Carol said.

Sonie’s advice to people bullied online
The mother of one went ahead and advised Kenyans not to be affected by what the online bullies says since they are not confident enough.
“Be positive, love one another, be kind it does not cost anyone to be kind. My question to them is do you get paid for bullying people. For those who are being bullied, take your time, do not take everything as it is said but remember everyone who is on social media is there for different reasons some are there to make money others are there to bully people so do not take it to your heart so be easy and understand yourself and what you want,” Sonnie added.
Carol was affected mentally by the her break up with baby daddy Mulamwah after the two had their daughter.
