Cartoon comedian forced to delete offensive video

Popular Content Creator Vanessa Akinyi popularly known as Cartoon Comedian has apologized to her fans and people who were affected by a video on the plights of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

In the video cartoon and her friend Naomi Actress made fun of how Kenyans suffering in Saudi Arabia make calls back home crying for help. The humour apparently did not go down well with others.

She was forced to pull down the video and apologize after a backlash from her fans.

“Sorry for those who got offended ilikua dark humor na iliekwa disclaimer that’s why I don’t have the video in my pages and hio imeewekwa tiktok that’s not my account poleni to those affected,” she said 

Agitated Kenyans expressed their disappointment on the comments section, calling her out for being ignorant on the struggles of people working in the Middle East.

 “I’m also really disappointed that Cartoon had to do this really so embarrassing… I’m disappointed Imagine mtu anaenda kuhustle and someone makes fan of it as if she is better off.  Gulf is not like that please share content according to your experience but not this,” commented one fan.

“She has gone too far this time round kuna vitu sio za kujoke nazo if you don’t have anything to post take a break, “commented another fan.

It might have been too late for the comedian since the video is already doing rounds on other social media pages.
