Celebrations In Various Parts Of The Country As Chebukati Declares Ruto President

Celebrations are currently going on in various parts of the country after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declared Kenya Kwanza Leader William Ruto the fifth president of Kenya.

Kenyans trooped to the streets to celebrate singing all praise songs for the president elect.

In Githurai, an area in Nairobi that largely voted for Ruto, Kenyans hit the streets with placards dancing in celebration.

The same was witnessed in Nakuru County, Kiambu County and Uasin Gishu County which is the home of William Ruto.

IEBC declared Ruto the president of Kenya today after he garnered 7.1 Million votes against Raila’s 6.9 Million votes.

Four IEBC Commissioners however distanced themselves from the results claiming irregularities.
