Members of a Church in Kawangware disrupted a church service yesterday this is after they opposed their Bishop’s appeal to be bought a Prado TX by his church members.
Tensions escalated when the Bishop allegedly insisted on buying the luxury vehicle saying it was crucial for his ministerial work.
“He had said that he needed a car because he was often left embarrassed during meetings when other bishops had luxurious cars,” James Gichuhi, the church’s finance manager said.

However the Full Gospel Church Kawangware congregants were not happy with this move saying such material desires were not in line with the church’s values.
“I was his interpreter for a long time and I have been depressed since some of his preaching is of war, and castigating the members. He does this especially when we have guests,” one of the church leaders complained.
During the disruption, leaders of the church were seen staging a walkout mid-service in protest against certain decisions made by the Bishop.
Bishop Not Happy
In a report by Inooro TV, it was revealed that the bishop expressed dissatisfaction with the congregation for failing to raise enough funds to fulfill his request for the Prado TX.

Church leaders also accused the bishop of misappropriation of funds, prompting calls for a thorough audit of the church’s finances.
“The church elders who are signatories of our bank have been facing challenges as there has been a plot to oust them and install his preferred signatories,” Mwangi, the deacon of the church said.
