Chelsea Boss set to move to Man Utd
The three year deal will put the former Chelsea boss at par with Pep Gardiola who will join the rival Manchester City this summer.
Jose Morinho who left Chelsea in December was confident of taking over at Old Trafford.
However,Manchester United have so far claimed they will not be looking to appoint a director of football, but Mourinho is keen to have the freedom to overhaul the squad and has already spelled out his potential summer targets to the club
Personal terms are understood to have been agreed in principle with Mourinho, who is also keen to bring in highly-rated Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta.
