Two cholera cases have been reported in Nairobi’s Huruma area.
The first case was reported in an area called Sokoni while the second case was reported in an area called Madoya.
Jessica Nora says her nephew was admitted at the mama Lucy Hospital about three weeks ago after he tested positive with cholera.
Angela Mutindi a community Health Worker from Huruma says the SECOND CASE was of an elderly man.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News Mutindi says they suspected the cases occurred due to the burst sewer lines that have contaminated the piped water.
She is urging residents to observe cleanliness when handling food, wash their hands with soap and boil drinking water.
Cholera can kill within 24 hours of contamination.
