High professionalism is the only way  the national police service  will gain public confidence.

These are words from Chief Justice David Maraga when he presided over the swearing in of two deputies of inspector general  Gabbow Yarrow  of administration police and Edward Mbugua of Kenya police.

Maraga further urged the two to ensure they improve the living standard of the police a move he say will boost the morale of officers to perform their duties diligently.

Meanwhile the Chief Justice did not speak over the alleged crack-down by the state on the Judiciary.
