The Pubs, Entertainment and Restaurants Association of Kenya [PERAK] now want the government to reopen bars and clubs immediately saying they have complied fully with the Covid 19 protocols as required by the government.
According to PERAK Director Michael Muthami about 80 percent of bar owners have completed the whole process and its now time that the government allowed them re-open without necessarily waiting for another 30 days.
‘‘All PERAK members have complied, we took the three forms at the ministry of health did what is required including spacing in our bars among other guidelines,’’ Muthami said.
He further asked the government to put a close eye on operating bars saying the association will not carry any cross for those violating COVID -19 guidelines.
‘‘They should join the association so that we have same code of ethics and when they mess outside there, let the government deal with them,’’ he dded.
PERAK says over two million clubs have been affected directly by closure of clubs.
