Colonel Mustafa Makes Music Comeback After Five Year Hiatus

Colonel Mustafa has made a music comeback after taking a five year break from the scene.

The Tanzania-born Kenyan rapper revealed that he is set to release an album and also shared that he has aready dropped a single which is also featured in it dubbed ‘Maloko’ in which he has worked on with music producer Motif Di Don.

Speaking on NIAJE NIAJE the rapper shares that he is also a song writer and that he finds it better to write his own songs for the purposes of originality and the ability to express his own ideas fully.

“When someone else writes a songs for me, they don’t do as well as they do when I write them myself and they don’t get to express my thoughts fully. They will only write what is fit for them,” he says.

The Hey baby hitmaker said that he plans on doing a remix to one of his songs Lenga Stress with new talents since he believes that the younger generation has so much potential in them and also gave credit to Chris Kaiga saying that he does his songs under the Gengetone genre in a nice manner.

“Every style can be made in such a way that it turns well and I think some Gengetone artists like Chris Kaiga bring it out so well,” Says Mustafa.

The rapper is famous for old school hits like Monalisa which was his first song, Adhiambo C, Mtaani dot com, Kinyau nyau among others.
