U.S based Kenyan comedian David Kangogo popularly known as David the Student recently encountered a racists couple while working as a Lyft Taxi driver.

In a video that has been doing rounds on social media, David was ferrying the couple home after they requested the cab through the APP, he asked them to wear a face mask but they refused forcing him to kick them out.

The man then went hysterical and started calling him the ‘N’ word and even went further to relieve himself in David’s car.

In an interview with local US media, David intimates that the first thing that came to his mind was to record the whole incidence for fear of having the scenario flipped on him.

“For me I was just thinking, get what exactly happened as they are going to flip this thing on me and make it look like I attacked them,” he says. David said

Following the incident, the man has since been fired from his job and banned from ever returning to the bar whose parking the incident took place.

Lyft also issued a statement saying they have completely banned the racist man identified only as Joe from ever using their APP.

“There is no place for discrimination of any sort in the Lyft community, and this behavior is unacceptable. We have permanently removed the rider from the Lyft community and are in touch with the driver to offer our support.” Lyft wrote

The man has since apologised for his behaviour claiming he had too much to drink.

“I humbly apologize for my behavior towards David K. the Lyft driver on Tuesday night. I should have never said the things I said nor acted like a complete idiot. He didn’t deserve that. Nobody does. I had too much to drink and lost control of my tongue and I said horrible things that I truly regret. Watching the video was hard for me, it was if I didn’t recognize the person. I let myself down, I let my friends and family down, I let my company down, I let our whole country down. I ask for forgiveness and mercy from literally everyone especially David the driver, the Lyft community, my family and friends and our community.” he said
