Counterfeit Goods Worth Ksh. 58 Million Set Ablaze

fake goodsThe Kenya Anti Counterfeit Agency has set ablaze an assortment of counterfeit products worth 58 million shillings at EPZ Athi River, Machakos.

The goods set ablaze during the raid include clothes, pens, water heaters and bulbs.

Deputy Director research and Awareness Agnes Karingo says the destruction of the goods should send a warning to those manufacturing the goods.

Karingo warned consumers against buying goods from business premises and markets not certified by the relevant government authorities for safety standards.
