Nairobi City Council officials last night raided bars in Shauri Moyo and arrested bar owners with no liqour lincenes for their premises.
The bartenders claim the county officials did not give them a notice on the raid the premises at night when business is booming.
The bartenders claim that the process of acquiring the licenses is hard and expensive hence giving the bar owners a hard time before they can acquire the licenses.
They are requesting the county government to review the procedure to make it affordable and easy.
These raids have also affected other businesses in the area like hawkers stationed outside bars to sell stuff to revelers.
