A couple has been arrested for allegedly abusing a grade 2 girl in Migosi, Kisumu County.
The couple identified as David and Everline were arrested yesterday after well wishers sounded an alarm on the physical abuse meted on the girl who is under their custody.
A video doing rounds on Social media shows the girl with severe bruises on her back, her face and her arm.
According to the girl, her aunt inflicted those injuries on her for reportedly not being care ful in the kitchen.
The visibly stricken girl is being interviewed by a well wisher at the market who noticed that the girl had gone to shop and looked like she was in pain.
The girl whose parents are still alive says that her mother is in Malaba and father in Nairobi.
Migosi Assistant Chief Charles Migori and other officers have since taken the girl to the hospital for proper care.
Her guardians are expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
