Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu has announced that those who missed their KCPE exams to sit for special KCPE exam in January,2024.
While Speaking at Mtihani House today on the release of final KCPE results for 2023,Machogu said that a total number of 9,354 candidates who missed their exam will have an opportunity to sit for special exam next year.
”The Minister of Education will conduct thorough mapping of any of those who may have fail to sit their examination this year in order to administer a special examination in January 2024,”
”The indicative figure we have at the moment for those who were not able to sit for the examination is 9,354 candidates and we have given them opportunity to sit for a next examination in January so that they can also be able to join form.”He said.

CS Machogu Assurance to the parents

Machogu urged parents to take advantage of the 100% transition policy to enroll their children in form one because the government has the capacity to accomodate all the students who sat for KCPE in 2023.
”I want to assure the country that the government has enough capacity to accomodate all the 1,460,507 candidates who sat their KCPE year,”
”Therefore,all parents should take advantage of 100% transition policy to enroll their children in form one.I wish to assure the country that we are fully prepared and committed to a seamless transition to 8-4-4 system to CBC.”He announced.
He also added that his team is preparing a sectional paper to the parliament.
”Currently we are preparing for a sectional paper and nursery draft legislation for submission to parliament for consideration,”
”Once badge the document will incur most of the recommendations of the predictions in the party report.As planned the first cohort of the CBC runners will be transitioned in grade 8 in January,2024.”He concluded.
