Nairobi city county government has now assured the City residents that the Dandora Energy project that is to be developed at Dandora dumpsite will be ready by the end of this year.
According to minister for environment and natural resources Larry Wambua, by March they will have gotten the highest bidder for the project’s development.
Wambua says the tender committee will sit by March to review and evaluate each bidder and select the best.
‘’The Dandora power project is on course and Niarobians should not panic over the same, our team is working 24/7 to ensure that the plant is developed.’’ Wambua added.
He further stated that the project will employ 2000 youths in the area.
Wambua clarified that the locals will be given first priority for the job available job opportunities.
