Dandora Phase Four  MCA demands Coronavirus Protective Gear be Given To Dumpsite Workers

An alarm has been raised over-looming Coronavirus pandemic at the  Dandora dumpsite.

This is after it was discovered that the people working at the dumpsite do not have Coronavirus protective gear yet they handle garbage right from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where all reported cases gained entry into the country.

In an exclusive interview with Ghetto Radio News Dandora 4 MCA Francis Otieno Ngesa said the dumpsite workers are vulnerable because they are handling JKIA garbages directly and some may contain the virus.

‘‘This matter is a serious matter, most of these people we live with them in Dandora suppose one of them contracts that disease …we are finished and that’s  why I am asking both the National and County Government of Nairobi to move with speed and provide these protective gears.’’ He said.

Meanwhile, our efforts to talk to Health minister Nairobi City County Hitan Majevdia failed as phone calls went unanswered.
