The Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives have completed investigations into the death of 23 year old interior designer Jeff Mwathi.

“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has this afternoon completed investigations into the death of Jeff Mwathi, 23, who died on February 22, 2023, in unclear circumstances.
“This is after the Homicide department, that has been investigating the incident received an autopsy report from the government Pathologist and the government Chemist, following a fresh probe into the death as ordered by the DCI Director, Mr Mohamed Amin.”

Jeff Mwathi aged 23 died on February 22 after he fell from popular Kikuyu Deejay, DJ Fatxo’s apartment.
Mwathi’s body had to be exhumed from their Likia Home in Molo, Nakuru County for a fresh autopsy report to be conducted.
The second post-mortem conducted on Mwathi’s body revealed that he died due to severe head and limb injuries.
Chief Government Pathologist however indicated that it will however take longer to know whether he was sexually molested or not.
“l have established that he had severe head injuries that almost raptured the skull,” said the pathologist.
“We have taken more samples to carry out a toxicology test and also to establish if he was sexually molested before he met his death,” said Oduor.
Mwathi’s family members were present when the latest postmortem results were being taken.
His death caused an uproar among Kenyans with a number of female MPs calling for the DCI to quickly intervene in the matter.
The MPs also alleged that his alleged killer was planning to leave the country.
