Dee Jays hailed for complying with NEMA regulations

Nairobi city county government noise department has applauded Dee Jays operating in the city clubs for complying with  noise regulations imposed by the county.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio deputy director environment Monitoring compliances  Lawrence Mwangi Mukuru says most of the dee jays do not play in clubs that  have not complied with county regulations and  the move has helped them tame noise in the CBD.

According to him they will now use much of their allocation this financial  year to senticize club owners on importance of regulating noise.

Affected places are  clubs in Kilimani,CBD and Umoja in Eastlands.

Meawnhile  those advertising phones and other electronics in open air in the central business district using microphones and speakers have also been warned.

Mukuru  says they will  lay traps and nub those perpetrating noise in the streets including matatu touts.
