Demonstrations have erupted in Kibra just a few minutes after IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati declared William Ruto as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya.
A section of residents who were anxiously waiting for the announcement of the results took to the streets to protest against the announcement.
They burnt tyres on roads in Kibra accusing Chebukati of rigging the elections in favour of Ruto.
Kibra largely voted for Raila Odinga who was trounced by William Ruto in the just concluded General Elections.
Ruto was declared president today after garnering 7.1 Million votes against Raila’s 6.9 Million votes.
