Details of 5 year Gor Mahia deal with Sportpesa
Speaking at the unveiling of players for the 2016 season Gor Chairman Ambrose Rachier said that the sponsorship will help the club meet its obligations towards the team.
“We have signed a five year deal will Sportpesa that will see the company help towards settling player’s salaries, kitting with Word class equipment and help the team acquire the best players.” he said.
However, the value for the deal was not revealed though sources said it is worth Sh70million a year.
Rachier cited the Confidentiality clause as to why they did not disclose the value of the deal.
Gor Mahia will represent the Country in Confederation of African Football Champions League.
The reigning Premier League champions confirmed a total of eleven new signings and four exits at the closure of the January transfer window.
Amongst those released by the club include striking duo of Michael Olunga Meddie Kagere, defender Simon Pierre, goalkeeper David Juma while striker Timothy Otieno has joined newly promoted premier league side Posta Rangers on a season long loan deal.
Rwandan striker Jacques Tuyisenge signed from Police FC tops the list of the inbound players alongside Kenyan internationals Jacob Keli, Jackson Saleh and Francis Kahata.
