Bongo star Diamond Platnumz has hinted his intention to quit music and focus on his many business ventures.
During his meeting with Muslim entertainment stakeholders at the Wasafi headquarters in Mbezi, Dar es Salaam, the singer revealed that his singing is just for him to accumulate enough capital for business.
“My dream is to eventually go fully into business when I quit music. You can’t do music forever, that’s why I’m using my earnings in music to build my businesses. Let’s use the opportunities we have in use to build a better future,” he said.
The bongo star boasts of business empires such as Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), a recording label that has signed some of the high performing artists including Harmonize, Rayvanny, Maromboso, Queen Darling, Rich Mavoko and Lava Lava.
Diamond also owns Wasafi TV and Radio alongside Diamond Karanga peanut brand and Chibu perfume fragrance.
Diamond hit the airwaves back in 2009 with his hit single ‘kamwambie’ which became one of the most played songs during its time.
