Diamond Singer has come under tight scrutiny over what he is paying musicians performing in the ongoing Wasafi Festival 2023. Bongo singer seasoned singer Juma Nature revealed that he was paying them ‘peanuts’.
According to Nature he was offered Tsh. 500,000 to perform an offer that he refused.It still not clear how much Juma Nature asked for.
“What Wasafi is offering is too small you can’t find me on stage with search.” Nature said.

Meanwhile Fans have reacted differently over the same few accusing him of trying to malign Diamond’s name.

Meanwhile Harmonize and Alikiba refused to take part in this years Wasafi festival despite Diamond inviting the officially.
‘‘I have decided that I’ll be performing in Mtwara, make sure you buy the tickets so that we fill Nangwanda. Imagine Kwangwaru will be playing live after five years.I will be so happy to get new talent in Mtwara. I found Harmonize there and I know, I’ll find a new artiste there as well. I’d like to partner with everyone. Before then, Abdukiba (Alikiba’s brother) will collabo with myself in a song.I’ll be with him in the festival and if his brother, Alikiba will see it fit, he can join us. If he gives us even one show, we shall appreciate.Harmonize too. We need to use our brains in this things, lets not put our personal issues in these things.’’ Diamond said.
