Deputy President William Ruto has reluctantly accepted Jubilee Party’s decision to drop out of the Msambweni by election.
Ruto has said that though he was of a different view, he has had to accept the party’s decision.
Speaking at a media briefing, Ruto has stated that those who wanted to vie using the Jubilee ticket will now vie on an independent ticket or using a different party.
“I was of a different view but I have accepted the Jubilee Party’s decision not to field a candidate in the Msambweni parliamentary by-election,” said Ruto
Ruto has however urged Jubilee supporters not to view the decision as a move that will shrink the party.
Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju earlier today released a statement stating that the party will not field a candidate in Msambweni owing the decision to the good relationship with the ODM Party and the recent advisory by CJ Maraga to dissolve the party.
