Veteran US record producer, Dr. Dre was feted with a star on Tuesday at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles. The Compton bred rapper and entrepreneur got the special recognition at the 6840 Hollywood Blvd.
Dr. Dre’s star was for his exceptional contribution for the recording category. His star was the 2,775th.
Teacher And Mentor
Dr. Dre’s longtime buddy, Snoop Dogg shared his gratitude for working with Dre.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper further termed Dre as not only his teacher but also his mentor.

“My teacher, mentor, brother, guardian, protector and most importantly a good friend” asserted Snoop.
Snoop further thanked Dre for pushing him to be the best while echoing Dre’s ‘perfectionist mindset’. He further termed their work relationship ‘legendary’ while noting their indelible marks in the Hip hop scene.
“You always bring the best in the dog Dr. Dre and that I do appreciate. There would be no Snoop without Dre. Together, we created magic in the studio and our collaborations have left a lasting mark on the world of music” said Snoop.
While acknowledging his feat, Dre thanked his loyal fans for their continued support over the years. He further added that the best of him was yet to come.
“I’m incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years. Most of us have grown up together. And at nearly 60 years old, you’re still rocking with me and I really appreciate that. Thank you so much which is really good because I’m nowhere near done. You better believe there’s a lot more coming” he affirmed.
In 2006, Dre scored a first when he teamed up with Iovine for the Beats Electronics which was sold to Apple in 2014 for $3.3 Billion making Dre the first Hip hop billionaire.

Apart from the star, Dre also had March 19, 2024 declared “Dr. Dre Day” by Los Angeles City Councilman, Hugo Soto-Martinez.
