Drake attained a major milestone in his musical career by matching Michael Jackson’s feat for a male artist with most number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Drake had a record 13th number-one song on the Billboard chart.
J. Cole’s First Number One Hit
As the week began, Billboard updated its chart positions with Drake and J. Cole’s ‘First Person Shooter’ topping the chart.
This cemented Drake’s continued superb run on the chart.
Managing the number one position was also a clear proof of passion and dedication.
J. Cole is highly rated though he was yet to top the charts with a single record.
His energies brought him to number two with the song ‘All My Life’ a collaborative effort with Lil Durk.
It has since had a good run dropping to position 22 after spending weeks in the top 10.
Celebrating the achievement, Drake shared a photo of Michael Jackson donning an OVO hoodie while taking a selfie in washroom.
Drake is now number one hit away from equaling Rihanna who boasts of 14 chart topping songs on the Hot 100 Billboard.
Drake also has seven of his songs on the top ten Billboard Hot 100 chart.
He has further managed to secure the top three slots.
At number one is ‘First Person Shooter’ with J.Cole, placed second is ‘IDGAF’ featuring Yeat and ‘Virginia Beach’ at number three.
His song with 21 Savage ‘Calling for You’ pitched at number five, ‘Slime You Out’ with SZA holding the sixth position.
At position seven was ‘Daylight’ with ‘Fear of Heights’ standing at tenth.
