Drama as woman storms Milimani Law Courts claiming to be CJ Maraga’s baby mama

A woman caused drama at the Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday, June 30, after storming the premises demanding that Chief Justice David Maraga takes responsibility for the child he sired with her.

In a video shared online, the woman identified as Mary Kwamboka Onyancha claims CJ Maraga refuses to take care of the 6-year-old child they have together.

She broke in tears and screamed demanding her case be heard and determined expeditiously.

Kwamboka claims she met the judge in 2013, and their affair, which spilled over to 2014, yielded a daughter, who was born on April 21, 2014.

“Upon the birth of the minor, the plaintiff (Kwamboka) requested the defendant for child support, but the defendant adamantly refused and denied paternity of the minor,” reads part of the documents she brought with her

Kwamboka claims the judge, who was dispensing justice in a lower court at the time, “frustrated all the efforts by the plaintiff to reach out to him for child support.

Kwamboka further claimed that the CJ has not honored summons by the children’s department on the matter.

“He has refused to take care of the child, he wants me to foot all the bills… I have been filing cases every now and then, he was summoned by the Children’s Department and he refused to honor the summons,” she lamented.

The complainant now wants the court to instruct the judge to pay her a monthly support of Ksh. 161, 600.
