CORD MPs Block Speaker From Accessing Parliament Chambers
CORD MPs have blocked National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi from accessing parliament chambers denying him from access of the special sitting to debate the laws and regulations that will guide the 2017 General Election.
The MPs who were forced to walk all the way from Intercontinental Hotel all the way to parliament, barricaded the Speaker’s door and not letting him out.
CORD MP Irshad Sumra stated that they were ready to do anything to ensure that the law is not passed.
Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo stated that they are ready to die to ensure that the law that is allowing an alternative use of voter register is not passed.
