Eddy Kenzo Hits Fan With A Microphone

Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo is trending for all the wrong reasons after he hit a fan with a microphone.

The ugly incident happened recently while he was performing during his ‘Eddy Kenzo Festival’ in Fort Portal, Uganda.

In a video doing the rounds on social media, a fan is seen pouring a drink on Kenzo who was on stage performing his ‘enjoyment’ song.

Angered by this action, Kenzo lost his cool and threw his microphone at him. In the short video, his security is seen getting into the crowd and charging toward the fan.

The singer is yet to break his silence in regards to the incident but took to social media to thank his fans after the show.

Judith Heard, a Ugandan fashion model and event host, defended Kenzo saying that action has to be taken to help stop attacks on artists by terming the incident as a wake up call.

“Before we lose an artist on stage or a fan in the crowd. This was a wake-up call. He was pushed to the limit but this could be turned into some big case.We shouldn’t be laughing about this. Ugandan musicians y’all need to figure out how to end this. Next time that fan will pour acid on the artist or the artists group will hurt the fan.” She wrote.

A couple of fans have since taken Kenzo’s side, with one of them named Baba Raho saying, “Guys under no circumstances should anyone ever pour drinks on anyone. It’s a sign of disrespect.”

Another one by the name ‘Luoboyollo’ added, “Sometimes the fans are enjoying that way and performers take it differently because it’s been a stereotype.” With another one mentioning that Eddy Kenzo acted on impulse and could have hurt an innocent person instead of the culprit behind the act.
