The striking lecturers have vowed not to resume duties accusing the the ministry of education and university council IPUCCF of intimidating lecturers.
Some universities have not released the March salaries for all striking lecturers with some getting warning letters from Vice chancellors not to continue with the strike .
University Academic Staff Union secretary general Constantine Wasonga says they shall not relent in their quest for the new offer.
They have further rubbished reports that the union is already in talks with government over a new deal.
Meanwhile court is also expected to make ruling on whether the same strike is legal or illegal after UASU appealed against Friday’s decision ordering them to resume duties.
Over 600,000 students have been affected as strike enters its 41st day.
