The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna who is currently a candidate for the Nairobi Senator and singer Bahati are currently embroiled in a Twitter war over politics.
Trouble started when Sifuna stated that Bahati had stepped down for ODM’s Antony Oluoch in the battle for Mathare Parliamentary seat.
“Here in Mathare it was decided that ODM will field the candidate supported by Azimio and that is current MP Anthony Oluoch. For musician Bahati we will get him a job in the Azimio Government,” Said ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
To which Bahati Bahati refuted and responded, ““You cannot make a decision for Mathare you will fail with that guy you are supporting. And if you will get votes in Mathare, I’ll tell you you’re wrong.”
““And so because it seems this Sifuna and Shebesh have been paid by my Loosing opponent to Spread Propaganda let me answer them here. First and Foremost You Two Don’t Speak on Behalf of My Party Jubilee. (I want to confirm that I Bahati Kioko i am still on the ballot as the next,” he said.
Sifuna however did not stop there, he went ahead and shared a video of Jubilee Party Chairman George Gitonga who stated that Bahati had dropped his bid in favour of Oluoch.
“Ahsante sana wana Jubilee Party Nairobi for resolving the Mathare question for us. We now have a candidate hio kijana ya kulia lia nitachukua apology yake kwa Diana personally,” said Sifuna.
Bahati further asked Sifuna to stop mentioning his wife calling him some very unprintable words.
“Keep your mouth away from mentioning my wife in your cheap politics!!! have some respect for women,” he said.
