Nike has unveiled a bronze statue dedicated to gold medalist Eliud Kipchoge at its headquarters in Beaverton Oregon.
In a touching ceremony to mark the statue’s unveiling, Eliud Kipchoge expressed his gratitude to Nike, acknowledging the profound impact of their partnership on athletes worldwide.
“Twenty years ago, Nike and I became partners in running. Since 2003, Nike has played a crucial role in my career, providing inspiration and innovation. Together, we’ve brought these elements to every athlete in the world,”Eliud posted on X
He highlighted how Nike’s unwavering support had not only contributed to his success but had also brought positive change to the global athletic community.
“Monday was a special celebration as we unveiled the Eliud Kipchoge Track at the Nike European Headquarters in the Netherlands, while at the same time Nike revealed a statue of me at the headquarters in Beaverton,”
“Thank you Nike for the great partnership, together we run as one,”
The bronze statue was crafted by renowned American artist Alison Caswell in collaboration with Nike.
Nike also unveiled the “Eliud Kipchoge Track,” bearing his name, at their headquarters.
Kipchoge has clinched the top spot in marathons across the globe, including those in Chicago, Berlin, and London, while also securing two prestigious Olympic medals.
“You have been a great ambassador for Nike. Well done Champ,”Kivungi Preplied to Eliud’s post.
“Well done and congratulations,” martin-martin said.
“Congratulations for the success you have made as an athlete, now live by your slogan of no man is limited by supporting Kelvin Kiptum to break the rest of the records,”
