Embakasi Marked As New Hot Spot For Coronavirus
Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe has put Embakasi area on the spot as the new hot for the Covid-19 disease.
This follows the high number of cases reported in Embakasi today.
According to Kagwe, out of the 606 new cases in the whole country today, 108 cases are from Embakasi.
The CS has threatened to take further measures to contain the spread of the disease.
“In Nairobi for example, Embakasi has now become a hot spot, if you are living in Embakasi area, you need to know that Embakasi id a hot spot and further measures will have to be taken as regards the containment of some of the areas that are growing too fast,” said Kagwe.
Covid-19 cases today rose to 18,585 , out of the 606 positive cases, 409 were males and 197 were females.
The youngest person to test positive in the last 24 hours is a four month old infant and the oldest is 85 years old.
4,888 samples were tested within 24 hours.
