Kariobangi residents have been warned against disposing wastes carelessly in the area.
This following the bursting of sewer pipes in the area occasioned by blocked sewer lines and careless littering.
The situation has attracted the attention of area administrators who have now called for an immediate culture change.
‘‘The residents have become lazy they cannot even dispose their own wastes properly, and to the designated places. They have a habit of throwing everything anywhere causing blockage in our sewer lines,” said an area chief.
He has now stated that they will soon start arresting those that are engaging in improper disposal of wastes.
‘‘We will start conducting arrests should this persist. We know that such sewer blockages will lead to an outbreak of diseases like cholera,’’ they added.
