Self-proclaimed president of comedy Eric Omondi now claims that he has been receiving threats after endorsing Jimmy Wanjigi as the next president.
The comedian alleges that those sending him the threats have given him an ultimatum of three weeks to stop campaigning for Wanjigi who has declared his interest for the presidential seat.
“Inaaanisha imeuma watu sana inamaanisha inafanya kazi nikipata messages kwa simu yangu watu wakiniambia Kenya ikona wenyewe, kijana utajua inchi ikona wenyewe kijana wewe tutakuonyesha na tunakupatia 3 weeks ukisema sijui nini tutakuonyesha Kenya iko wenyewe,” said Omondi.
The comedian alleges that some of the people sending him the messages are people from the government.
Some of the threats however come from pseudo accounts on Social Media platforms.
“Na mimi siogopi wnanitumia message kwa DM wanatumia ma pseudo account wananitumia message kwa whatsapp wananipigia usiku wa manane na inajiandika private number ama unknown number inamaanisha wao wanaogopa wengine wako serekali wengine wanajaribu kubadilisha sauti ukiskia vizuri unajua ni nani huyo,” He added.
Eric Omondi declared his bid of supporting Jimmy Wanjigi as he runs for presidency during the next general election.
The self-proclaimed president of comedy has been using his social media influence to bring people especially youths to support Wanjigi.
Kenyan Rapper Frasha also criticized Eric Omondi for endorsing and supporting Wanjigi instead of defending the youths.
