Eric Theuri Wins LSK Elections

Advocate Eric Theuri has been elected to replace Nelson Havi as the new President of the Law Society of Kenya.

Theuri is reported to have beaten Caroline Kamende, the former LSK vice-president by 726 votes at the national polls held on Thursday, March 10.

Advocate Eric Theuri won with 1,811 votes against Kamende who garnered 1,085 votes.

Theuri also beat Coast Branch Chairman Mathew Nyabena, Omwanza Ombati and  former LSK treasurer Bernard Kipkoech.

The election was conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) across 25 designated LSK polling stations around the country.

The voting process was headed by Senior Counsel Janmohamed Zehrabanu.
