Sky Sports-Everton are reportedly interested in signing Porto winger Yacine Brahimi.

That is according to Sky Sports, who claim the Toffees have already entered talks with Porto for the 26-year-old Algeria international.

Porto are said to be open to selling Brahimi, who has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances for the Portuguese club, after they left him out of their Champions League squad last week.

Everton have strengthened their squad with Maarten Stekelenburg, Yannick Bolasie, Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Williams – along with four youngsters – but Ronald Koeman is seemingly keen to continue spending.

But the Dutchman could struggle in his bid to bring Brahimi to Goodison Park, with Brahimi reportedly looking to join one of England’s clubs in the Champions League.

The Mirror reported over the weekend that Arsenal have set their sights on Brahimi after missing out on Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez, who signed a new four-year deal last week.

And the Gunners’ participation in Europe’s elite club competition could ruin Everton’s pursuit for the Algerian, who is expected to cost £40million.
