More than 30 structures were last night burnt down in Nairobi’s Kibera slums.
Police said the fire, whose cause was unknown, spread from a stall to a residential area.
Fire fighters from the Nairobi city county and a team from the Kenya Red Cross Society put it out.
Several fire incidents have been reported in Nairobi’s slum areas, authorities citing illegal electricity connections.
On February 29, several structures were razed in Kibera after a gas cylinder exploded.
Police said no injuries were reported following the fire that started at a kiosk and spread to others.
