Families of boys who died in Murang’a chaos demand justice

The families of the two young boys who died during the Sunday chaos in Kenol, Murang’a County are now demanding for justice.

The two Peter Mbothu and Christopher Kariuki aged 19 and 15 years respectively died after two factions, one supporting Deputy President William Ruto and the other one supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta clashed.

“I do not have another brother, my parents are old they cannot bear another son. I am praying for justice for my brother,” cried Kariuki’s sister.

Meanwhile Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Kandara MP Alice Wahome have vowed not to present themselves to the DCI as directed by Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai.

ODM Chairman John Mbadi yesterday accused Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir of ferrying youths from his Lang’ata Constituency to Murang’a to cause chaos.

“We are aware that he planned together with his MPs the mayhem that took place yesterday in Murang’a, some youths were ferried by Nixon Korir all the way from Kibra to cause mayhem,” said Mbadi.

Mbadi also accused Ruto of fanning violence with money he has allegedly stolen from the public.
