The body of an upcoming artist who died last week is allegedly languishing at the city mortuary with no claim from any family member.

Gleam Joel Ogolla’s body was found in a  motel in Ngara last week after he was reported missing.

Friends of the deceased claim they found the body in a dilapidated condition since no family member had gone to claim the body after it was dumped at the mortuary by the police.

Reports have it that attempts by the deceased’s girlfriend to reach out to the family have been futile.

Friends say Ogolla who was residing in the US before he came back to the country had deserted his family back in Kenya hence their lack of interest in checking the body at the city mortuary.

He had travelled to the country for a series of performances.

Ogolla’s mother was reportedly out of the country at the time that he died.
