Several feared dead after Storey building collapses in Daraja Moja, Kisii Town
An unknown number of people are trapped in rubble after a 10-storey building, that was under construction, collapsed in Kisii town Thursday morning.
Dozens of people have been rushed to hospital with injuries after the building collapsed at noon.
The Kisii County Disaster Management team is leading the search for survivors.
Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Nyamira Counterpart John Nyagarama have visited the scene.
A rescue team from the Kisii County Disaster Management have already started the rescue mission.
Survivors were taken to Kisii Level Six and Ram hospitals.
