Yemi Alade’s Kenyan Love
Yemi Alade has had a good relationship with Kenya ever since her ‘Johnny’ went global.
She has visited Kenya more than five times with her debut performance being in 2018 at the Koroga Festival.
The Afrobeat sensation has also collaborated with Kenya’s A-list star’s Sauti Sol and Nyashinski.
To show her undying love for Kenya, Yemi also sang in Swahili and it’s all evident in her Swahili version of her hit, Na Gode written by Bien of Sauti Sol.
It extends further to her song ‘Nakupenda’ with Nyashinski.
In 2017, rumors fly out that she was secretly dating Bien all thanks to their unmatched chemistry.
Bien later clarified on the same revealing that Yemi was like his sister.
The former Sauti Sol front man added that he was married to Chiki Kuruka who’s an Igbo the same tribe as Yemi’s.
Yemi’s collabo with Femi has since been seen as a way of the latter aiming towards the global market.
