Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala will lead Team Kenya to the World Indoor Championships scheduled for March 1 to 3 at the Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow, United Kingdom
Omanyala recently smashed the national 60m indoor national record at the Miramas indoor meet last weekend .

Athletics Kenya
Athletics Kenya released a team of 11 athletes that has been selected to represent Kenya at the World Athletics Indoor Championships.
The officials in charge of the team include David Miano will be the team leader with the help of Benard Anyanga Ouma, Alfred Kirwa Yego, Josephine Nyarunda, and Stephen Ndungu.

He won the silver medal in the men’s 800 metres event at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia
The women’s 3000m race will see Japan-based Teresiah Gateri looking to fly the Kenyan flag high
The team is currently in training and will depart for Glasgow on 28th February 2024.

World Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships will be the 19th edition of the international indoor track and field in competition, organized by the World Athletics.
The event will be held between 1–3 March at the Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
It will be the third time, after Birmingham 2003 and 2018 that the World Indoor Championships will be held in this country, and the first time in Scotland
