Several traders are counting losses after their business premises vandalized and looted by protesters.

One of the buildings that were vandalized is the iconic Uganda House that host the Embassy of Uganda.

According a traders who spoke to Ghetto Radio,the protests was in infiltrated by goons who had intentions to vandalized and rob traders of their money and assets.

He says the yesterday’s protests was phenomenal since his premise has never been vandalized before.

A spot check by Ghetto Radio revealed massive damage at the entry point and with empty shelves, an indication that buglers had gained entry into the shops.

The immovable shelves and accessories of insignificant values were not spared either, some were damaged and others thrown in the streets.

“We miraculously escaped from the fourth floor after our office caught fire.It alleged that the police threw teargas in one of the ground floor shops.” Lawyer Danstan Omari said.

The lawyer said that the attack on the diplomatic installation may loosen the diplomatic ties by between Kenya and Uganda.

Court Battle Continues

A case has been filed in court seeking to challenge implementation the proposed budget for the 2024/2025 financial year/Finance Bill 2024.

The petitioners wants the court to stop President William Ruto from signing the bill pending hearing and determination of the application.

They also want the matter to be heard by a three judge bench.

The lawyers ,Kibe Mungai,Ndegwa Njiru,Fanya Mambo Kinuthia,Peter Koira , Lempaa Suiyianka ,and Mt.Kenya Jurist Association argue that the budget making process has been characterized with controversy and political contests since the CS Finance published the Finance Bill 2024.

According to the petitioners, process lacked illegitimacy and is punitive.
