Fire razes down dormitory at Kisumu Boys High School

Police have launched investigations into a fire incident that happened at the Kisumu Boys High School in Kisumu County today morning.

The fire reportedly burnt down a dormitory that houses approximately 60 students.

Kisumu County Commander Peter Katama says that the fire reportedly started at around 10.30 in the morning when all the students were in class.

According to Katama all items in the dormitory that houses form ones and form threes were destroyed in the fire.

“We are treating this as arson and investigations are on ,we will involve all agencies that is fire department, Kenya power, CID to get to the bottom of this”, said Katama.

Katama says that Investigations into the incident have been launched.

The school has however not been closed.

Parents of the students were not allowed entry into the institution by the school’s administration.

The angered parents told Ghetto Radio News that even their attempts to inquire what was going on were blocked by the school.

“The principal disbanded all WhatsApp groups parents used to communicate with class teachers and any teacher found communicating with a parent is surmoned,” one parent said.

“Yesterday, I was called that my child sneaked out with day scholars, when I when I inquired, I was told that is suspension,” lamented another parent.
