More than 20 families in Grogon,Kasabuni and Kariadudu areas Ruaraka have been affected by floods after heavy rains that continues to ponder the city.
Several houses along the Nairobi river in Mathare North and Ruaraka have been affected.
The residents have called on Nairobi County Government to improve the sewer system to avoid further damages.

Umoja Two Floods
Meanwhile Umoja two residents have been adversely affected by the floods.Sewer lines have bust exposing the area to water borne diseases.
They have called on the county to drain the water before more harm iscreated.

Other areas affected by floods includes Bunyala road,Uhuru High way,Waiyaki Way,Zimmmern and Embakasi.
County Government Response
The county environment department says it has initiated long term measures to ensure floods are curbed .
Residents must take caution and move in more safer grounds to avoid being swept by flood.Safer means you move from river banks to hilly places where running water is controlled.The county government must also come out and assist us in unclogging process.
